GigPenguin gig texts, for players

Gig offers, changes to a gig, reminders to answer, and sheet music for your part, from the bandleader who books you. Players turn these texts on themselves. A bandleader can't turn them on for anyone.

1. 1. Every gig email, and every gig page, offers texts

   Turn on texts

   The box starts unticked, and nothing else on the page needs it. A player can type a different number; we text it only once their bandleader has added it to the band's list, so a forwarded gig link can't sign up anyone else's phone.

GigPenguin gig alerts, for bandleaders

Alerts about a bandleader's own gigs: a player answering, declining or dropping out, and their test gig in setup. A bandleader turns them on in their account settings: they enter their mobile and tick an unticked box that reads:

“GigPenguin gig alerts: text me at this number about my gigs (when players answer, turn one down or drop out) and my test gig in setup. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply.”

We then text them:

GigPenguin: You're signed up for gig alert texts. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

The details

• Message frequency varies with how many gigs you're on; no more than 10 texts a day to one number, apart from urgent alerts to a bandleader when a player declines or drops out close to a gig.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to any text to stop them, and START to get them again. Reply HELP for help, or email support@gigpenguin.com.
• Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates, for marketing or any other purpose.
